Silcatil exfoliating heel pads are soaked in an active formula consisting of 3 hydroxy acids: glycolic, lactic and salicylic. Thanks to their strong keratolytic properties, they effectively exfoliate dead skin, remove all calluses, corns and hard skin. Effects are visible already after a few days of application. Silcatil intensively nourishes the skin of heels, making it smooth, soft and moisturized.
Glycolic and lactic acid - indicate strong exfoliating properties - they weaken the bonds between keratinocytes, thanks to which they reduce thickness of the overgrown stratum corneum. In addition, they make the skin more permeable and thus support the dynamics of penetration of active substances. Glycolic acid is an acid with the smallest molecule and the shortest chain, which in practice causes its strong penetration deep into the skin. In addition, it also stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin.
Salicylic acid - regulates cellular renewal of the skin and exfoliates the thickened stratum corneum. In addition, it increases the effectiveness of other cosmetic preparations. After exfoliation, elimination of calluses and keratinas and the exposition of new epidermis, skin prepared with acids absorbs active ingredients contained in cosmetics in an increased manner.
